Among the professional activities that may be engaged in by physical therapists or physical rehabilitation therapists, the activities required for the completion of a program of studies in physiotherapy or physical rehabilitation techniques may be engaged in by a student, on the condition that the student engages in the activities under the supervision of a teacher or training supervisor who is available to intervene at short notice if
(

)
the program of studies in which the student is enrolled leads to a diploma giving access to a permit issued by the Order;
(
2
)
the program of studies in which the student is enrolled leads to a diploma in physiotherapy or physical rehabilitation techniques issued by a Canadian educational institution outside Québec; or
(
3
)
the program of studies in which the student is enrolled leads to a diploma in physiotherapy or physical rehabilitation techniques issued by an educational institution outside Canada that has entered into an agreement on the terms and conditions of admission of a foreign student with an educational institution that has a program leading to a diploma giving access to a permit issued by the Order.

Among the professional activities that may be engaged in by physical therapists or physical rehabilitation therapists, the activities required for the completion of training that would allow a person referred to in section 11 of the Regulation respecting the standards for equivalence of diplomas and training for the issue of a physiotherapist’s permit or a physical rehabilitation therapist’s permit (chapter C-26, r. 203), to obtain diploma or training equivalence may be engaged in by the person, on the condition that the person does so under the supervision of a teacher or training supervisor who is available to intervene at short notice.

Among the professional activities that may be engaged in by physical therapists or physical rehabilitation therapists, the activities required for the completion of the compensatory measures that would allow a person to obtain a licence may be engaged in by a person referred to in sections 2 and 3 of the Règlement sur la délivrance d’un permis de l’Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec pour donner effet à l’arrangement conclu par l’Ordre en vertu de l’Entente entre le Québec et la France en matière de reconnaissance mutuelle des qualifications professionnelles (chapter C-26, r. 200.1), on the condition that the person does so under the supervision of a teacher or training supervisor who is available to intervene at short notice.

The teacher or training supervisor referred to in sections 1, 2 and 2.1 must meet the following conditions:
(
1
)
be a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec;
(
2
)
not have been the subject of any penalty imposed by the disciplinary council of the Order or by the Professions Tribunal in the 5 years preceding the date on which he or she begins supervising;
(
3
)
not have been the subject of a decision made pursuant to the first paragraph of section 55 of the Professional Code (
chapter C-26
) in the 5 years preceding the date on which he or she begins supervising; and
(
4
)
not have been the subject of a decision imposing a restriction on or suspension of the right to practise, the striking off the roll, a permanent restriction on the right to practise or the revocation of his or her permit.

A physical therapist may, within the scope of the training provided for in the Règlement sur une activité de formation des physiothérapeutes pour l’utilisation des aiguilles sous le derme pour atténuer l’inflammation en complément de l’utilisation d’autres moyens (chapter C-26, r. 192), insert needles under the dermis to reduce inflammation, in the presence of a training instructor referred to in paragraph 1 of section 1 of that Regulation or a physical therapist authorized to engage in that activity in accordance with subparagraph
h
of paragraph 3 of section 37.1 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26).

A physical therapist may, within the scope of the training provided for in the Règlement sur des activités de formation des physiothérapeutes pour procéder à des manipulations vertébrales et articulaires (chapter C-26, r. 192.1), perform spinal and joint manipulations in the presence of a training instructor or training supervisor, physical therapist, who holds a certificate allowing the practice of the activity referred to in subparagraph i of paragraph 3 of section 37.1 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26) and who has more than 2 years of experience.
